Reset Kodi for a fresh start

You can clear all the add-ons and data from your Kodi installation in a number of ways. You might want to do this so you can install another build or just clean up add-ons you have installed individually.

We have instructions on how to reset Kodi from a existing builds, from the menu on a Firestick and NVIDIA Shield, and by using a tool from within Kodi.

Note that if installing another Kodi build, you might find that you’ll get an option to perform a fresh start during installation, in which case there’s no need to manually reset Kodi. Check the instructions in our build guides to see if your chosen build will do this.
